About the Revision of November 3, 2026

We revised these Terms on November 3, 2026, and they take effect on December 3, 2026. Users do not need to take any action. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you can stop using the Service by the effective date and leave it from the account deletion page (before leaving, you need to delete the spaces you have joined).

The points we clarified or changed in this revision are as follows:

  • When you use the API of the Service (including the remote MCP server), the newly established API Terms of Use apply in addition
  • The service agreement is concluded when you complete the registration procedure
  • We limited the condition for registration by minors to the consent of their legal representative
  • We revised the provision on managing passwords so that it also applies to other authentication information, such as two-factor authentication and tokens
  • We allow collecting information about other users only to the extent permitted by the API Terms of Use
  • We narrowed the scope in which the Operator may use posted data to what is necessary to provide, improve, and introduce the Service, and set out that it does not include training AI models
  • We narrowed the scope in which other users may use posted data to viewing, editing, and so on through the features of the Service
  • We revised the scope of damages the Operator compensates in line with the Consumer Contract Act
  • We set out the reasons for changing these Terms, when we notify you, and your options if you do not agree
  • We set out how we contact and notify you, and included email and similar means in "writing"
  • We set out that you keep the rights given by the consumer protection laws of the country or region where you live
  • We removed provisions that do not apply to the Service, such as the confidentiality provision, and rewrote the text to be easier to understand

The previous version is available in Japanese only: 利用規約 (2025年1月1日版).

The operator (the "Operator") of "Wikino" (the "Service"), a wiki where you create pages in spaces and connect them with links, sets out the conditions for using the Service as these Terms of Service (these "Terms") as follows. You need to agree to these Terms to use the Service.

This English version is a translation of the Japanese original. If there is any discrepancy in interpretation between the Japanese version and the English version, the Japanese version prevails. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms apply to all relationships between the Operator and users regarding the use of the Service.

When you use the API of the Service (the public API, the remote MCP server, app authorization through OAuth, personal access tokens, Wikino CLI, and so on), the API Terms of Use apply in addition to these Terms. If these Terms and the API Terms of Use differ regarding the use of the API, the API Terms of Use prevail.

If the explanations on the screens or in the Help of the Service differ from these Terms, these Terms prevail.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The terms used in these Terms have the following meanings:

  • User: an individual or a legal entity that has registered with the Service in accordance with Article 3 (Registration)
  • Posted data: what users post to or send through the Service (pages, drafts, attachments, suggestions, comments, and so on)
  • Writing: includes not only paper documents but also electromagnetic records such as email

Article 3 (Registration)

If you wish to use the Service, agree to these Terms and complete the registration procedure in the manner specified by the Operator. When you complete the registration procedure, an agreement for the use of the Service on the terms of these Terms (the "Service Agreement") is concluded between you and the Operator.

The Operator may refuse registration or re-registration if the person who wishes to register falls under any of the following. We may not tell you the reason for the refusal.

  • The registration contains false information, errors, or omissions
  • The person is a minor and has not obtained the consent of their legal representative, such as a person with parental authority
  • The person is an antisocial force (an organized crime group, a member of an organized crime group, or a person equivalent to them), or the Operator determines that the person is involved with antisocial forces, such as by providing funds
  • The Operator determines that the person has violated a contract with the Operator in the past, or is related to such a person
  • The person has been subject to a measure under Article 9 (Deletion of Registration, etc.)
  • The Operator otherwise determines that the registration is not appropriate

Article 4 (Changes to Registered Information)

When your registered information (such as your email address) changes, change it promptly in the manner specified by the Operator.

Article 5 (Management of Authentication Information)

In these Terms, the information used to sign in to the Service or to use the API (passwords, authenticator apps and recovery codes for two-factor authentication, verification codes sent by email, tokens such as personal access tokens, and so on) is called "authentication information." Manage your own authentication information under your own responsibility. Do not let a third party use, lend, transfer, or sell your authentication information. The management of API tokens is also set out in the API Terms of Use.

You bear any damage caused by insufficient management of your authentication information or by its use by a third party. However, this does not apply if the damage is caused by the Operator's intent or negligence.

Article 6 (Prohibited Acts)

When using the Service, you must not do any of the following:

  • Acts that violate laws and regulations, or acts related to crimes
  • Acts against public order and morals
  • Fraud or threats against the Operator, other users, or other third parties
  • Acts that infringe the rights or interests of the Operator, other users, or other third parties, such as intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy, and honor
  • Sending information such as the following:
    • Excessively violent or cruel expressions, or excessively obscene expressions
    • Expressions that damage the honor or credibility of others
    • Expressions that encourage discrimination
    • Expressions that encourage suicide, self-harm, or inappropriate use of drugs
    • Antisocial expressions, or expressions that make others uncomfortable
    • Harmful programs such as computer viruses
    • Content that asks for the information to be spread to third parties, such as chain mail
  • Acts aimed at meeting people of the opposite sex whom you do not know
  • Promotion, advertising, solicitation, or sales not permitted by the Operator
  • Impersonating a third party
  • Using another user's account or authentication information
  • Acts that place an excessive load on the network or systems of the Service, or acts that may interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Unauthorized access, or attempts at unauthorized access, to the networks or systems managed by the Operator
  • Collecting information about other users beyond the scope permitted by the API Terms of Use
  • Acts that give benefits to antisocial forces
  • Acts that cause disadvantage or damage to the Operator, other users, or other third parties
  • Directly or indirectly assisting any of these acts
  • Other acts that the Operator determines to be inappropriate

Article 7 (Suspension of the Service, etc.)

The Operator may stop providing all or part of the Service without prior notice in the following cases:

  • When urgently inspecting or maintaining the systems
  • When computers, communication lines, or the like stop due to an accident
  • When the Service cannot be operated due to force majeure, such as an earthquake, fire, power outage, or natural disaster
  • When the Operator otherwise determines that a suspension or interruption is necessary

Article 8 (Ownership of Rights)

Intellectual property rights relating to the Service (rights such as copyrights, patent rights, and trademark rights, and the rights to obtain these rights or to apply for their registration) belong to the Operator or to those who license their use to the Operator. Permitting you to use the Service under these Terms does not license you to use these intellectual property rights.

The copyright in posted data remains with the user who posted it. You warrant to the Operator that you have the legitimate right to post your posted data and that your posted data does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You license the Operator to use your posted data (including reproducing, making it public, and adapting it) free of charge, without limitation of period or region, to the extent necessary for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service (including providing it through exports and the API)
  • Improving the Service
  • Introducing the Service

These purposes do not include training AI models. The Operator may sublicense the use of posted data to third parties (such as businesses to which the Operator entrusts work) to the extent necessary for these purposes.

You permit other users to view, edit, and use your posted data through the features of the Service (including exports and the API).

You will not exercise moral rights of author against the Operator or against those who have succeeded to rights from the Operator or received a license from the Operator.

Article 9 (Deletion of Registration, etc.)

If a user falls under any of the following, the Operator may, without prior notice or demand, delete their posted data, temporarily suspend their use of the Service, or delete their registration and cancel the Service Agreement:

  • When the user violates these Terms or the API Terms of Use
  • When the registration is found to contain false information
  • When the user does not respond to an inquiry or other contact from the Operator for 30 days or more
  • When the user falls under a case in which registration is refused under Article 3 (Registration)
  • When the Operator otherwise determines that it is not appropriate for the user to continue using the Service or to keep the registration and the Service Agreement

Article 10 (Leaving the Service)

After deleting all the spaces you have joined, you can leave the Service at any time in the manner specified by the Operator. When you leave, your registration is deleted.

How we handle your information after you leave is governed by Article 13 (Handling of User Information).

Article 11 (Changes to and Termination of the Service)

The Operator may change the content of the Service or stop providing the Service. When we stop providing the Service, we will notify users in advance.

Article 12 (Disclaimer of Warranties and the Operator's Liability)

The Operator does not warrant the following about the Service:

  • That it fits your particular purpose
  • That it has the features, accuracy, or usefulness you expect
  • That your use of the Service complies with the laws and regulations or the rules of industry associations that apply to you
  • That no defects occur

The Operator compensates you for damage arising in connection with the Service (such as damage caused by the suspension, interruption, change, or termination of the Service, the loss of data, or the deletion of registration) only if the Operator acted with intent or negligence. If the Operator's negligence is minor negligence (negligence that is not gross negligence), the Operator compensates only the direct and ordinary damage you actually suffered, up to 3,000 yen.

Resolve any transactions, communications, or disputes between you and other users or third parties in connection with the Service between the parties concerned. The Operator is not liable for them, except where caused by the Operator's intent or negligence.

Article 13 (Handling of User Information)

The Operator handles users' information in accordance with the Privacy Policy. You agree that the Operator handles your information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

The Operator may use and publish the information provided by users after turning it into statistics that do not identify individuals.

Article 14 (Changes to These Terms)

The Operator may change these Terms in accordance with the Civil Code (changes to standard terms) when the change conforms to the general interests of users, or when the change is necessary and its content is reasonable. Reasons for changes include, for example, the following:

  • To respond to the enactment or amendment of laws and regulations
  • To keep the Service secure
  • To reflect the operation of the Service or the addition, change, or termination of features

When we change these Terms, we will announce the content of the changed Terms and the effective date by the methods in Article 15 (Contact and Notices). We will announce important changes that affect users at least 30 days before the effective date. However, changes necessary to deal with urgent security risks or to comply with legal obligations may take effect earlier. In that case, we will announce them promptly.

If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the Service and leave it by the effective date. If you use the Service after the effective date, you are deemed to have agreed to the change.

Article 15 (Contact and Notices)

Notices from the Operator to users (including announcements of changes to these Terms) are made by posting them in the announcements on the Service, and are also announced on the Service's official accounts listed on コミュニティ (in Japanese). We may contact individual users by email to their registered email address.

Please send inquiries about the Service and other contact from users to the Operator to the following email address:

Article 16 (Assignment of Status under the Service Agreement, etc.)

You may not assign, transfer, or pledge your status under the Service Agreement or your rights and obligations under these Terms to a third party without the Operator's prior written consent.

When the Operator transfers the business relating to the Service to a third party, the Operator may pass on the status under the Service Agreement, the rights and obligations under these Terms, and information such as users' registered information to the transferee. You agree to this in advance.

Article 17 (Severability)

Even if part of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under laws and regulations such as the Consumer Contract Act, the other provisions remain in effect.

Article 18 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms and the Service Agreement are governed by the laws of Japan. However, you keep the rights given by the consumer protection provisions of the laws of the country or region where you live that cannot be excluded by contract.

The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance by agreement over any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or the Service Agreement.
